How many people have had charges from there bank? And silly charges like £39 for a failed £4 direct debit. Claim it back, which is what I'm in the process of doing, and already had an offer from the bank but not the full amount of the charges that have been applied to my account over the last 6 years.
I don't know how it works overseas but anyone in the UK who had these extortionate charges applied to there account should give it a go.

Well check this out. I had a player in the beta age at ME who made 4 donations for a total of $35. Today I get a chargeback from paypal for the $35 dollars and fee's for the chargeback which are $10 each! The jerkoff set me back $75 because he doesn't want to pay for the $35 in donations he made.
People like that are sad, if they don't want to donate then why do it? Some people really piss me off and a few have this round, but someone doing that is lower than low. _________________

Well the bank have now closed my bank account (with no notice to me at all ). Luckily I'd already set up a new account with a different bank. I refused the offer that they made me and have put a claim in for the full amount of charges on my account.

Well I received a letter from my bank (Halifax) or should I say my ex bank because they closed my account.
They said that they'd returned the Ackowlegment of Service to the County Court indicating that they were intending to defend my claim. "However, on a purely commercial basis, it will cost Halifax money to defend your claim in terms of the legal costs that will be incurred. It is unlikely that Halifax will be able to recover these costs (even if the bank wins) because your claim will probably be allocated to the small claims track, in which case costs are not generally awarded"
So because of this the Halifax is willing to reimburse me of my charges but without admission of liability. They are also paying the £120 court fee that I incurred.
So anyone thinking of claiming there charges back I'd say give it a go. _________________

Well congrats indeed Dal, I'm glad you recovered your cost too. I somehow can not for the life of me find any reason too pity any Bank or Lender especially the ones that prey on people w/bad credit or misfortunes. They don't even blink an eye at charging people 25- 35 -45% interest on charge cards and the likes.. .
